Movie: Le Petit Nicolas

4月份的最后一部电影，Le Petit Nicolas, 改编自法国著名漫画大师让-雅克·桑贝(Jean-Jacques Sempé) 的同名图书。故事围绕在Nicolas身边的人物打转。图里身穿红色外套背心的就是Nicolas。 他的7个同学，各有各的个性。(反时针） 胖子Alceste无吃不欢， 天真的认为食物可以解决一切问题。Geoffroy是一位有钱少爷，照顾他的是他们家的管家， 帅气可爱，家里有很大的花园， 还有一个像肾一样形状的泳池，生活在完全没有钱财的烦恼之下，认为用钱可以解决问题。架着一副眼镜的是Agnan,从来都不会受罚的学生，是班上的第一名也是老师的宠儿， 但是却是不折不扣地狡猾小强，会投诉同学们上课时讲话，仗着自己有戴眼镜儿别人不敢打他， 成天的打别人的小报告， 可以说是剧中最性格分明的一位。Eudes是好斗的学生 ，长大了想要当强盗， 因为如果没有人当强盗， 那么警察们就会失业。Joachim很郁闷，因为他家里刚添了一位弟弟， 他觉得被忽略了。只在片头和片尾出现的他，在整部戏里扮演了很重要的角色， 因为他的角色正是导致剧中问题的开始。
Clotaire是老师们的问题学生，不爱念书，经常在班上打瞌睡， 是班里最常罚站在角落的学生，天真而且毫无心机。Rufus的愿望是当警察，因为他爸爸是警察， 而这未来的警察却最喜欢恶作剧。

戏里，接着孩子们天真和纯真的一面， 表现出了他们内心的想法。 这几个孩子们的日常生活，妙趣横生，可以因为不想要个弟弟而用尽脑力的， 想到找人(gangster）来把那他以为即将到来的弟弟给“解决”掉。为了联络gangster, 还特地的翻阅电话簿， 看有没有gangster的电话。还不惜到监狱前等刚出狱的大恶人，希望它可以帮忙解决掉弟弟。为了凑到钱，还不惜拿了轮盘来开赌局，结果却搞到纷纷得逃走， 因为没钱赔给赢了的老太太。

简单的叙述， 却可以令你从头笑到最后。Sempé的独特手法，引人入胜，把人性凸现的很真实。这是一部你看了不会后悔的戏，虽然你可能不明白他的语言，但是你却可以不费力的用人性来理解。

Movie: Cairo Time

Watched this movie- Cairo Time. A movie that i don't recall showing at our cinema. The story have a beautiful background which is Cairo in Egypt. There is a scene that showing just the peak of the pyramid at night with lights, i love it very much and i think I will be amused just by starring at it.
The actress looks familiar to me but i couldn't recall saw her on which movie. This is a love story movie. Not romantic enough but very warm and real. Normally, romantic movie have very slow story line and sometime even boring. This movie, Cairo Time play it very well. You want to watch at it carefully and don't want to miss any moment. That's how a movie is considered success in the eyes of us, the normal.
The movie started with a beautiful woman, Juliette came to Cairo to meet up with her husband, Mark, who was working at UN and was stuck at Gaza at moment Juliette arrived. He sent his best friend, Tareq to pick her up at the airport. It was dangerous for a woman to walk in the street of Cairo alone. Juliette said she had promised her husband she will save the visit of Pyramids for her husband Mark. While her husband was still stuck at Cairo, Juliette gradually attracted by Tareq. It was more of a mutual attraction. They have spent their very last moment alone at the Pyramid. 2 mutually attracted people sitting at pyramid and admiring the beauty of the dessert. The scene where these 2 people walking towards the pyramid, stepping each of their step on the sand, with wind blowing and knowing that they love each other, is the most beautiful scene in this movie. At that moment, love was hovering all over them.
This is not a breath-taking action movie or thriller movie, viewer should watch it with a new set of eyes and remember to throw away all the things that you have in your mind to fully enjoy it.

Movie：It's complicated

Promoting this new movie, a romantic comedy played by Merly Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. I watched this at the first place was mainly because of the combination of the casts, not about Alec Baldwin (no offense) but it was all because of Merly Streep and Steve Martin.....That's the combination that i never thought i will one day saw it in a movie...luckily it was a romantic comedy....not an action movie. So, when "Miranda" in Devil Wears Prada meets with "Inspector Clouseau" of Pink Panther....What type of sparks will be generated?

I can't say it has very fascinating story line, but when you are watching romantic comedy, the word "comedy" definitely plays an important role. As long as it is funny and not ordinary everyday funny, then it can be said to be a good comedy....and with some romance in it....it's now a romantic comedy.

This movie shows some very different type of humour. Funny and humourous sparks generated by Meryl and Steve. There is not much to talk about the story line, ut Meryl really so into it. She played the role with very distint personality. She is just so good at acting, and french pronunciation in the film was incroyable et parfait....She really speaks with perfect French accent. How wouldn't i fall in love with this great yet incredible woman?

Movie: The Invention of Lying

The movie, " The Invention of Lying" is a romantic comedy, starring Jennifer Garner and Ricky Gervais who had written and directed this film.

The story was practically happened in a time where there was no "Lie" at all, no one knew how to lie. The word "lie" was even not existed in that time. People practically split out what they had in mind even those things that we will usually keep to ourselves. It has a very good story which reminds you what will be the world if there is no lie at all. People basically believe on whatever they heard because there is no lie existed.

When there is no lie, we tend to see a lot of funny moment with our eyes of "Everybody Lies" world. Here, i quoted some lines from the movie:

The very first person was talking to a girl passing by: "The world is gonna end unless we have sex right now." The woman was shocked, truly believed in it and reply: "Do we have time to get to a motel, or do we need to do it right here?"

I personally is a fans of Jennifer Garner since her amazing action and famous drama series "Alias" produced by JJ Abrams. I am then her fans ever since i watch that series. I have been following her works from Pearl Harbor, Elecktra, Catch and Release, The Kingdom, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past till The Invention of Lying. She never disappoint me yet so far. I first watch this movie mainly because i was attracted by the words "starring Jennifer Garner" but then found out that this is really a good movie.

Here is a picture taken from Just Jared, Jennifer Garner with her 2nd daughter, Seraphina. The smile of the kid is what will cheer me whenever i looked at it. Hopefully it cheers you up as well

Movie: Moon

Welcoming the month of November, i watched a very interesting movie called Moon. It is a sci-fi movie. The main character in the story is Sam Bell, the astronaut who is working with Lunar Industry, a company which harvest Helium 3 from moon to use as an alternate energy source. Sam Bell is the only people in the station at moon which has no direct communication, he can only speak to an inteligence computer which has the mian function of assisting him. The contract is for 3 years. For all along his contract, he live on wanting to go back earth after this to meet with his wife and his daughter. At the last 2 weeks of his contract, He starts to hallucinate and got into an accident and wakes up in the infirmary. Then, a rescue team is sent from earth.

He then discovered the dark secret of this whole contract thingy. He is actually a clone of Sam Bell, and there are endless clone of Sam Bell stored at a secret room at the station. Whenever a clone fail due to some unknown reason, a new clone will be awaked. The memory will be uploaded to the new clone to tell "him" who he is. Then, the clone will continue the work at the station. This Sam Bell finally has chance to get real time communication, and he called back his house. He then only discovered that the daughter that was born prior to his departure for the contract, is now a teenager and his beloved wife has past away. The most shocking part is that there is actually sort of real Sam Bell living at earth.

A very triller movie which lead you to discover more with each step. So, after watching it, i have to rank it as recommended. Hope you all can watch it when you have the chance.

G.I Joe: The Rise of the Cobra

Watched G.I Joe few days ago, It is good. I love movie, action movie in particular. This, G.I Joe: The Rise of the Cobra, was indeed a combination of action, sci-fi and part of it was kind of funny. The story line was clear and there was always some parts that will definitely bring you some laughs.

The director did a great job in this Sci-Fi action movie. G.I Joe really wake up your passion for this genre of movies after the massive disappointment of our worst review yet the 2009 super blockbuster movie, the Transformer 2. They are in the same genre but the feeling while watching it was entirely different. There was no confuse while watching G.I Joe, unlike watching Transformer 2 at the first 20 minutes which you didn't have any clue on who's the good guy and who is the bad guy. What you will see in Transformer 2 is some metal creature fighting each other and you can't have a single clue on what's going on beside confuse. You have to focus so hard just want to find out what happen to the transformers in the movie. It was really tiring watching it like this. In G.I Joe, you can actually enjoy the movie and the characters are easy to distinguish and have very distinctive traits that allow you to know his or her identity in a glimpse.

Then, the special effects are moderate although from time to time there are some very artificial looking background especially the scene on the dessert of Egypt but that is not a big deal. The overall is good and the exploding scenes are real and not too over.

Watching one of my favorite world landmarks, Eiffel Tower got eaten and falling into pieces is so fascinating. Thanks to the amazing effects technology.

The flashback of Snake Eyes childhood memory with Storm Shadow is one of my favorite part in the movie. Two kids fighting so hard and yet so real. It actually created a moment of intense atmosphere while watching it. Sound effect and the stunts are tremendously gorgeous.

This is a movie worth watching and will no doubt enjoys you, especially those who have watched Transformers 2.

Transformer II

Watched Transformer II yesterday at 8.30pm, Queensbay mall GSC. I am not a super transformer fans or big movie fans. I seldom rush to cinema for movie premier or have any must see movie at the cinema.

Because of the free tickets, this was the first time i went to movie on people crowded cinema and mall at saturday night. I always prefer staying at home for the weekends. Long queue in front of cinema ticket counter yesterday and i think most of them were there for this movie blockbuster. Around 6.15pm, i heard the cinema officer announced thru loud speaker that the ticket for Transformer 2 for today has been sold out all. Well, that was the first time i feel the heat and passion of all transformers fans.

With Petronas promotional free tickets, i even got one Transformer T-shirt. Everyone with the special pass had one free t-shirt. I looked around and found out that lots of people were so excited about having a transformer t shirt. Well then, i think i should be grateful too.

New Moon trailer

Reading the Twilight series-New Moon. The thumbnail picture of the New Moon poster captured my attention when i opened yahoo homepage. Clicked into it and having some kind of expectation on it. After viewing it, i would have to say that the trailer is not that heart capturing. You won't say that this will be your "must-see movie of the year". I'm not giving this movie a bad review just based on its trailer but the trailer didn't speak out for this movie. Watching the trailer is like reading the synopsis of the book "New Moon" in a movie form. Not much breath taking moment beside the last scene. Based on the trailer, this movie will only be premiered on 11.20.09, which will be November 20, 2009.

Well, in the mean time, i would still be reading the and perhaps the entire series if this book doesn't disappoint me.

电影：《妈妈米娅》

刚看了一部电影，Mamma Mia， 又译∶妈妈米娅
如果，你知道ABBA这个80年代风靡很久的歌唱团体，那么，你一定会知道Mamma Mia是一首他们的歌。起初会想看这部电影也是因为片名， 看了之后，我只可以说，令人耳目一新。如果你喜欢电影，又喜欢音乐，那么，你肯定会喜欢这一部有深度的电影。那就让我来简单的介绍一下这片子。
开场， 有耳熟能详的" I have a dream". Amanda Seyfried 的确把这首歌演绎的很有感觉。接着就可以感受到剧中美丽的希腊小岛，美丽蔚蓝的海洋。带有一点英国口音的Amanda Seyfried, 饰演即将结婚的Sophie.。故事围绕在她想要在婚礼前见到自己父亲的点点滴滴。她把有可能是父亲的3人， 以母亲（Merly Streep 饰）的名义，把他们都邀请到这个小岛上来观礼。她天真的以为，当她见到他们3人时，他一定能够一眼就认出谁是他的亲身父亲， 但她却没能认得出。结果反而吓坏了他母亲。
Merly Streep这名字，理应熟悉，她就是饰演在Devil Wears Prada 里的女魔头 。这一次， 不但演，还得唱，形象跟女魔头差天与地。但是，我得说，她演的真好，把故事带到了顶点。
这部戏，又很简单华丽，但又很唯美的场面，站在船头的那一幕，我个人觉得美丽的程度，可以媲美Titanic。 歌舞方面，很有新鲜感。这影片，有很多的层次在里面，可以用不同人物的角度来感受。
整部片子，简单却有意思，没什么故事会让人觉得拖泥带水的。另外，也把歌词的部分表达到淋漓尽致，让歌词中的含义，仿佛飘浮在整部戏里头。
我只能说，他是一步有深度的电影。至于精不精彩， 就得看你是抱着什么样的意境来欣赏了。

The first movie that i watch after the stressful panel discussion was "Made Of Honor". The main character in this movie is Tom, played by Patrick Dempsey, and his best friend Hannah who he met so accidentally.

The friendship part of the story was touching, so natural and so beautiful, but the love part is stupid. How can he just didn't realize that she is so important to him. Luckily he realized it before she really married to other guy.
